Dogs And Roses

I found this little chap today and brought him home to join the rest of my little collection.

This one is very real though, being part beardy Josh has lots of long shaggy hair and it's hard to see his face. As the weather has been so hot Mr C took the scissors to him and gave him a trim. He looks like a young pup and is all soft and fluffy. He seems to like it and has been bounding around with even more energy than usual.

I found these lovely old deck chairs at the local antiques centre. After seeing some similar ones on the lovely Ted and Bunny blog and getting a few words of encouragement I went back and snapped them up just in time to make the most of them in the sunshine.

Finally I couldn't resist sharing some photos of the first of Mr C's David Austin roses that are blooming in the garden. They seem to have done surprisingly well this year and I love them. I don't do any of the hard work in the garden, I just enjoy the rewards of Mr C's work.

Loving the vintage deckchairs - I have several that need some attention - maybe this is the time to sort them out - thanks for the nudge!

What lovely roses! Your garden must look beautiful at the moment with those out.
I missed a deck chair at the boot sale last week... I sort of looked at it and then never followed the buying process up LOL. Silly me.
I do like deckchairs and yours are rather dashing.

There, I told you they would be good, glad you got Mr CH to go back and pick them up for you. The Roses look wonderful, I have two David Austins waiting to go into the ground once we sort out the garden!!
Enjoy the weekend and take some time to use those deckchairs and just sit and smell the roses.

I love the dogs, china & real!! Love those David Austin roses!!! Are yours planted in the garden, or in containers? I was thinking of buying two, but would like to have them in containers as they will be easier to move, when I finally move. Any green fingered info from you OH would be appreciated : )
