A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to all of you. I have finally found the energy to sit at the computer after days under a duvet on the sofa. I had a wonderful time in New York with my lovely girl and once I have sorted out all of my photos I will share some of the beautiful sights we saw. We arrived home Christmas Eve and when I awoke on Christmas morning I knew I had caught a nasty bug. It was inevitable I guess as I was surrounded by people coughing and sneezing on the flight home. Oh well it doesn't matter because we had such a great time on our little trip and we still had family over for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and there was plenty of help on hand. Since then I have barely moved from the sofa apart from to take a few peeks at all your wonderful Christmas postings, I promise I will catch up properly soon.
Anyway I thought I would show you a few of my lovely Christmas pressies. Firstly this beautiful handmade box from my sister up in Scotland. It was full of some wonderful vintage goodies including the lovely tablecloth and book and also some delicious treats.
This great Kiehls gift set my gorgeous girl sneekily bought for me in Saks in New York and somehow smuggled home without me spotting it !Some lovely vintage goodies from my good friend Deb including this little frozen charlotte doll to add to my collection and a pretty lavender cushion from the wonderful Millie and Dotties Emporium.

And finally this beautiful painted bottle which I chose for myself in our local antiques centre. Mr Corner house knows I love going there but he gets bored fairly quickly so it was a lovely treat when he suggested we go so that I could choose myself some pressies and he didn't look at his watch once !

I will be back soon to share some of my New York photos and memories.
Have a wonderful, happy and healthy 2010 x

Hi Annie,
Happy New Year to you! Sorry to hear you had the dreaded lurgy, me too, all over New year but it was a good excuse to cuddle up on the sofa! Thanks so much for the really lovely message you left for me, please do give the patchwork a go because it's honestly not that hard and the satisfaction at the end is immense!
